It's Time for An Update!

It’s Time for An Update!

Good news everyone! Our first annual super-duper event is finally here!

Update is an annual micro-conference hosted by e-Business Club

The goal of the conference is to update students at Sauder on the current state of the web, social media, online marketing and personal branding. And we’ve got some cool speakers lined up and eager to share some insights on the current happenings in the e-Business sphere.

This event is our first attempt to show you what our club is all about and prepare you for what’s coming next. So you must be there!

New features (a.k.a. agenda)

The format we’ve selected — micro-conference — is perfect for your busy schedule. The whole event is only 2 hours long, but almost overloaded with content.

This year, speakers are:

Besides our guests, some snacks and drink also promised to show up.

Where & When & How Much

Update micro-conference will be happening on:

  • Date: Wednesday, March 16
  • Time: from 5 to 7pm

  • >> RSVP on Facebook (you still need to get a ticket!)

The price of the tickets is $5 for non-members ($8 at the door) and free for all members. You can register at our booth at Henry Angus building.

Double Deal!

To double the magic, we’ve partnered with UBC Biztech club, and now you can get tickets to both Update and FIT Conference for only $8. Plus, the events are totally free for the members of both clubs.

Live updates

For the next 2 weeks we’ll be tweeting, ReTweeting, status-updating and going insane using hashtag #eBizUpdate. If you have anything to say on the matter, use it too! And also you can always follow us at @ebizubc and like our Facebook Page.

      Sorry to hear that, Rick.

But don’t worry, we’ll have the whole thing taped, pictured, reviewed, and uploaded to the website. It’s not going to be the same experience, but, hopefully, it will be something worth checking out.

Also, if you are on Twitter, you can search for #eBizUpdate to get the feel of what will be happening at the event.

      Good luck on your project!
